A native of Minnesota, Tim Trost grew up spending untold hours exploring the wonders of the prairies, woodlands, lakes and ponds, and became fascinated with the science and art of horticulture. Tim graduated from the University of Minnesota in Duluth with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Graphic/Commercial Design.
Tim's enthusiastic interest in natural history, illustration and graphic design is wonderfully integrated into unique botanical and scientific works. Through his illustrations, he creates an awareness of the remarkable and often overlooked details in nature.
His work has been featured in a variety of publications, and has been part of regional, national and international group exhibitions. In addition, Tim produces a line of note cards, limited edition prints and open edition framed prints.
Tim's work is included in many private collections and in the permanent collection of the Bell Museum of Natural History.
